H-E-B commercial, 1980.
Back in Tallahassee, Publix was the dominant supermarket, followed by Winn-Dixie and a few Harvey’s and Food Lion stores. (We used to have Bruno’s and Albertsons, but both are long gone.) Austin is brimming with H-E-B franchises, and to a lesser extent Fiesta (mainly aimed at the huge Hispanic population) and Randalls, which is actually just Safeway’s Texas division.
